Introduction
============

For integrating external systems into |rcm| state machines, such as e.g.
robots, grippers and so forth, a service API is provided with |embrace| to
allow the implementation of services that can provide service operation, i.e.
request-response RPC functions, and events, i.e. message publishing patterns.

The following pages contain a :ref:`Service tutorial <service_tutorial>` and
the :ref:`Service API documentation <service_api>` for |services| to
|core| communication.
